My story begins in India. It was fall 2008. I was auditing suppliers for my new business. The people were kind, the weather was nice and the food was fantastic. So when my terminal at Continental Airlines had been bombed and my flight was “to be determined”, I was excited to spend this time as a tourist exploring Mumbai. Face fear and keep going, LOL!
However, things change, sometimes suddenly. I was picked up by a hotel security guard and was taken to my resort that was gated and armed by the local army. We were not to leave the grounds. Half naive and a lot awed by the glamorous resort, I had no concerns other than to relax and enjoy my stay. Three days later I safely caught my flight home.
